Hello
Rikki Hettig-Rolfe Meaux is an educator and a second generation circus artist specializing in the aerial silks. She has loved the circus as long as she can remember, growing up in Sarasota, Florida, performing in the Sailor Circus, from the first through the twelfth grade, and being inspired by the passion and success of her uncle, Farrell (Bubba) Hettig, who walked high wire with the Flying Wallendas in the Seven Person Pyramid as well as going on to win the Silver Clown of Monte Carlo with his own duo act, The Fabulous Farrell Brothers.
After spending her youth passionately training and performing Rikki continued to learn and grow as a performer, through training and in her opinion one of the best ways, teaching. Rikki graduated from the University of South Florida and worked as an elementary school classroom teacher for several years while also working with the Sailor Circus. She currently works full time at the Circus Arts Conservatory in Sarasota, Florida in the Education Department and with the Sailor Circus Academy, teaches recreational classes, works as a manager and counselor for our Circus Summer Camp, and performs professionally.
Rikki specializes in aerial silks but also performs lyra, aerial hammock, Spanish web, low wire, hand balancing, tumbling, swinging and static trapeze, globes, dance, pours champagne from her silk, and more.
In addition to performing solo, Rikki also performs with her circus partner, Nick Slimick. Nick also grew up training and performing with Sailor Circus. He went on to perform professionally including walking high wire and the Seven Person Pyramid with Nik Wallenda as well as solo aerial silks, juggling, unicycle, and more. The two perform a duo act where both are on the same silk, as well as synchronized silks and duo lyra.
